This event is only for those who have applied online for the University of Auckland Tertiary Foundation Certificate programme to start in semester 1, 2022 and have been out of high school for at least one year.
(If you are currently at high school, please do not register for this one as you will have a separate date in late January).
We welcome applications from mature age students.
As part of your application, you are required to complete a diagnostic assessment which will include some questions on literacy and numeracy. This is so we can build a profile of you and it will help us to advise you on the Pathway options available in the TFC programme.
You may be invited to an interview in the same week to find out more about you and your Pathway goals.

What are my transport/parking options for getting to and from the event?
Paid parking is available at 12 Grafton Road, Owen G. Glenn Building, or in the surrounding streets. More information about where to park can be found here.
What can I bring into the event?
- A small sized photo of yourself (so it can be stapled to your application)
- Your valid Passport or NZ birth certificate. Take this along to AskAuckland (behind the General library) for verification
- Your student ID number (check your emails from the University which has this information)
- Bottled water (optional).
