About this event

  • Event lasts 2 hours
  • UNDER 16 WITH PARENT OR LEGAL GUARDIAN

Curious about the story behind Aotearoa’s largest STEM festival?

Join us this August in Tauranga for our next Women in STEM event, where we’ll be sitting down for an inspiring fireside chat with Tia Lush, the visionary behind STEMFest, and Rebecca Drake, this year' STEMFest Ambassador.

We’ll dive into the motivation behind creating this groundbreaking event, explore its impact on the community, and hear what’s next for STEMFest with its founder, Tia Lush. Joining her is Rebecca Drake, who will share her own journey and insights on entering a STEM career.

Together, Tia and Rebecca will reflect on their experiences, challenges, and the driving forces behind their work – offering an inspiring kōrero for anyone interested in the future of STEM in Tauranga, Aotearoa.

This event is open to women and non-binary individuals who are working in, studying, or simply interested in STEM. Attendees aged 12 and up are welcome – those under 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Come be part of the kōrero and connect with others passionate about STEM!

If you are also interested in getting involved with STEMFest and help champion curiosity in STEM and inspire the next generation of change makers, we will also be talking about how you can get involved and help out.
