Spreading The Message Through The Love Of Hip Hop Music


King Cass is a NZ Hiphop Artist, Motivational Speaker, ADHD and Mental Health Advocate , Youth Worker, and Content Creator.

King Cass brings a unique versatile sound of hip-hop as he dives into sharing his deepest stories through his music using a range of styles including trap, melodic style hip-hop and drill.

"The Awakening from Dark to Light" is an interactive show designed to energise and empower individuals of all ages (7+) cultures and backgrounds. Hunter will use acting, song, educational models, Te Whare Tapa Whā, visuals, and humor to break down barriers surrounding mental health and addiction. The event includes live storytelling, a 90-minute performance, followed by a 20-30 min Q&A with a panel of professionals of organisations or those with lived experiences with the audience.

What can you expect?

This presentation is shared in a non judgemental, inclusive, no barrier, accessible and safe space.

Hunter uses tools to captivate the audience with his powerful edu-tainment multimedia show, exploring themes of personal and community identity and belonging, and the profound impact of mental wellbeing. Through his personal journey, Hunter will shed light on topics such as living with ADHD, overcoming adversity, and working through addiction & mental health issues. His inspiring story, combined with music and determination, showcases the transformative power of resilience.


Hunter delivers this show through acting, song, educational models, Te Whare Tapa Whā, visuals and humour. He does this professionally and all from a place of aroha/love.

Stories will be told from the lived experiences of the presenter and keynote speakers during the performance, and through a panel question session afterwards. The Awakening from Dark to Light is approximately 80 minutes in length, followed by a 20-30 minute question and answer component.

Hunter is now several years into his personal journey and has become a qualified youth worker. His motivation to deliver The Awakening from Dark to Light is driven by a genuine passion to make a positive impact within our communities.
