The Community Sector and Collection of Client Level Data

In this free 60-minute webinar, Brenda Pilott and Trevor McGlinchey discuss the gathering and reporting of Individual Client Level Data and how this new requirement could affect your organisation. They are joined by Garth Nowland-Foreman, who presents his latest research on the topic and shares the findings of the Privacy Commission inquiry.

About the Presenters


Brenda Pilott

Brenda is the National Manager of Social Service Providers Aotearoa. She joined Social Service Providers Aotearoa as its national manager, after a decade working for the PSA, NZ’s largest union which includes thousands of community sector workers amongst its membership. Brenda is Chair of the social service agencies collective ComVoices.


Trevor McGlinchey

Trevor is the Executive Officer for the New Zealand Council of Christian Social Services, a role he has held since 2008. He began his career as a freezing worker and has worked in numerous seasonal and other short-term industries. Trevor is of Scottish, Irish and Ngai Tahu whakapapa and regularly returns to his home marae to maintain his strong connections there.


Garth Nowland-Foreman

Garth is a voluntary council member of NZCCSS and the chair of Christchurch Methodist Mission, as well as co-chair of Community Research, and chaired the Johns Hopkins International Comparative Nonprofit Study in Aotearoa New Zealand. He is a director of LEaD Centre for Not for Profit Leadership.


This event is a collaboration between ComVoices and Community Research. ComVoices is a Wellington based network of national community and voluntary sector organisations.
