About this Event

The Conscious Club present you with the first episode of the Conscious Chat Series! We will have speakers raising awareness about sustainability and sharing us with us their journey.

All 4 speakers have been announced 😍 This is a great line up of super humans changing the world in their own way. 4 guest speakers with a passion for our planet.

They will be covering topics on recycling, waste, sustainable fashion, Preston will be discussing his part as a Global Shaper for the World Economic Forum and also have Jacqui talking about sustainable eating.

If we sell enough tickets we will provide drinks and nibbles, so grab your tickets ASAP!

FIRST GUEST SPEAKERS:

Matt & Julie the owners of Liberation Jewellery. Matt is doing a project called The Rubbish Runner where he does a few runs every week on the same 4km loop and picks up rubbish, Matt has been doing this for about a year and a half now and approaching 30,000 pieces of rubbish.

SECOND GUEST SPEAKER:

@vegan.christchurch.foodie

Jacqui is a passionate young woman. Not afraid of saying it how it is. So naturally this climate crisis has had her wanting to do whatever she can to do her part and right now that is encouraging change in the mostly simple everyday life experience; eating.

THIRD GUEST SPEAKER:

Preston who is Director at Exchange Christchurch - XCHC

Preston’s work is also his passion, helping people discover what they’re capable of and turning their creative talents into sustainable enterprises. He’s connector and a part of many global communities such as Enspiral, Global Shapers, and the Edmond Hilary Fellowship, all driving some positive work, dialog, and change in the world.

FOURTH GUEST SPEAKER:

Kophie is a Christchurch based graphic designer, illustrator, artist & graffiti artist. Her focus since she was young has been to live in respect of Papatūānuku and to use her skills and abilities to inform and inspire people and create a better planet. In 2017 she graduated with a bachelor of media arts (first class honours) where she explored the ecological destruction in the fashion industry, economics and skate and street culture. While studying she created her brand Future Apparel, a streetwear clothing and apparel brand made from upcycling waste. Speaking on behalf of her will be a friend Elizabeth Locke.

SCREENING + Q&A :
