Raison d’être - Our reason for being

A community where we trust and empower one another to explore ideas, feelings, and values with empathy and open-minds. We speak freely, listen deeply, and honour diverse perspectives — nurturing a culture of kindness, intellectual curiosity, and genuine belonging.

This month ... Laurie will be exploring a Grimm's Fairy Tale, "The Girl Without Hands" What does its symbolism really say to us? Please feel free to bring materials, quotes, etc to contribute as the topic evolves.

We meet every third Sunday of the month. 9:30am for a 10am start, until about 12:30pm

Gold coin koha invited to cover venue and basic costs.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a religious organisation?

No. We have no affiliations or agendas beyond that stated in our Raison d'etre, though we are a bit like a church in that we seek to build community and connection. We do so by sharing.

Is this a lecture?

No. The presenter of the day give a short talk (20mins) on the subject and the the group explores its meanings for us. Whether it is our knowledge on the subject from personal experience or intellectual studies, we share and discuss. Discussion often continues over a "cuppa and bikkies".
