The Night Mayors are Tāmaki’s underground and underrated, making Auckland a place more people want to stay. It’s a forum to learn about how cultural icons of the city actually live, their biggest gripes, and best ideas for Auckland- plus, if they were running for Mayor, what’s their platform?
The evening will be moderated by the incredible Charlotte Ryan.
Our panel:
Grayson Goffe (Te Āti Awa, Taranaki) – Activist and facilitator working at the intersection of community, Indigenous identity, and creative practice.
Jean Teng (Chinese-Malaysian) – Writer, editor, and food podcaster (Ate Ate Ate), exploring the ways food and culture shape our lives.
Katty Atafu-Mayo – House Mother and multidisciplinary artist, weaving Indigenous healing, ceremony, and creative practice across her work.
Shaquille Wasasala aka HALFQUEEN – DJ, director, event producer and artist. Shaq is a music curator for Splore and is behind some of Tāmaki's best club nights.
