More about The Remakery
The Remakery is the hub of the Common Unity Project, a registered charity that works collaboratively with community, schools and organisations across the Hutt Valley. Common Unity have built community farms around the Hutt Valley, and the produce they grow is turned into healthy, wholesome meals for the community. They donate 2,000 meals per week to children and families through partnerships with local schools and community groups.
At The Remakery, you’ll find a cosy cafe where people can meet over a meal or sweet treat made from homegrown and rescued food. The Remakery is also home to a number of other Common Unity enterprises, including a Grocer, Honey Collective, Sewing Cooperative, and ReCycled Rides. Common Unity believes in looking after people and our planet, and many of their enterprises are dedicated to diverting waste from landfill and giving it new life.
