About this event

Think in Ink! - In this session brought to you by Microsoft Surface, Sam Harris, PLD Facilitator at Cyclone will challenge you to think critically about the types of digital inputs that you are using when planning a teaching and learning experience.

How does a mouse and keyboard compare to a stylus and touchscreen when you are engaging with students in a lesson?

What is digital ink and what is the point of using it as a student or teacher?

How do I even get started with digital inking if I find myself teaching with a device that is capable of utilising it?

All of these questions will be answered and attendees will receive a OneNote book full of resources to help them get started on their digital inking journey.

This workshop is facilitated by Sam Harris, one of Cyclone's PLD Facilitators.

Sam is a registered secondary teacher, who has worked in schools as a teacher in charge of History as well as an Across School Teacher within a Kāhui Ako (community of learning). In these roles, Sam has worked extensively with teachers on their use of digital technologies in the classroom and has worked collaboratively to establish localised teaching and learning opportunities that are connected and relevant to students lives.

Sam has a postgraduate qualification in digital and collaborative learning and has been a Microsoft Innovative Expert Educator (MIEE).
