Event description

Description

The world around us is changing at an exponential pace. And it’s not just technology.
-Sociopolitical change
-Geopolitical change
-Climate change
-Changes in our structures and economic systems.

How can anyone keep up?
How can our organisations and institutions adapt and thrive in a future that looks nothing like the past?
How can we thrive in this future?

The event:

Join Kaila Colbin and team for a co-creation workshop, focused on identifying ways we can better support these changes from a local and national perspective.

Kaila Colbin spearheaded the hugely successful SingularityU New Zealand and Australia Summits, introducing more than 2,500 people to exponential technologies and their impact on humanity.

She is also a co-founder and Chair of the non-profit Ministry of Awesome, the starting point for early-stage entrepreneurs in Christchurch; the Curator and Licensee for TEDxChristchurch in New Zealand and TEDxScottBase in Antarctica; Chair of the New York-based culinary school Natural Gourmet Institute; Deputy Chair of CORE Education; and a Director of ChristchurchNZ.

Her purpose in life is to be an uplifting presence.

The workshop

This workshop is your chance to co-create ways to support New Zealanders to better navigate our rapidly changing world, in turn creating a better future for us all.

Attendees are not expected to be experts in exponential change. Rather, this event is aimed at people who are keen to work through ideas to help New Zealanders understand, adapt and thrive in a future that looks nothing like the past.
