Thriving Through Digital Online Discussion
About this event
What: Thriving Through Digital Group Discussion: A leadership conversation about delivering value from your technology investments.
Where: Online via Lean Coffee Table (a link will be provided to the registered attendees a day prior)
When: 5pm to 6:30pm, Thursday 28 July 2022
Thank you to everyone who has participated in our Thriving Through Digital Online Sessions to date.
Our discussion topic for this month is Being Agile vs Doing Agile
Agile methodology has become popular not only for software development as originally intended, but across IT whether it is relevant or not (I've lost count of the number of software providers who's marketing material says they use agile to implement their solution, but when you scratch the surface it's just a tiny bit .....). Agile hasn't just conquered IT, however, whole organisations are moving to agile as a way to streamline and speed up BAU processes and the delivery of organisational change.
But what are we all implementing? It is almost never the 4 values and 12 principles of the manifesto, it is almost always some version of an agile methodology that "underpins our new ways of working."
This disturbs me and I wonder if we have missed the point! If you feel the same way and want to hear the opinions of your peers or perhaps want to share your own thoughts and experiences, then come and join us for another interesting and thought-provoking discussion.
So, whether you've experienced success or you've faced challenges, come prepared to share your stories, research and opinions.
If you can't make the event, but are interested in participating in the discussion you can join the Thriving Through Digital group on LinkedIn. A summary of the discussion will be posted online prior to me finalising the output in a blog. If there's a specific topic(s) you want to be discussed in the upcoming sessions, let us know by clicking this link.
Looking forward to seeing you.
