Join us for the next Waihī Beach T.I.D.E gathering, an evening designed to bring together local professionals, creatives, and community leaders for meaningful connection and conversation. T.I.D.E is all about networking in a relaxed way, sparking new ideas, and building lasting relationships that strengthen our community.
For our next event, we’re excited to welcome Haydn from Our Tauranga Region. With over two decades of experience in tourism, marketing, and destination management, Haydn is passionate about creating authentic place brands that truly reflect the heart of a community. He’ll be sharing insights into Tauranga’s new Place Brand project, an initiative where we all have the chance to shape how the world sees our region, including our very own Waihī Beach.
You’ll also get to meet the new Events and Marketing team for Waihī Beach Events and Promotions, as well as members of our committee who are working hard to create opportunities for our community.
This first T.I.D.E will be held in our fantastic new community library, Te Ara Mātauranga, which opened on the 1st July this year. The name, meaning “The Pathway to Knowledge”, was gifted by our local hapū, Te Whānau a Tauwhao. More than just a library, Te Ara Mātauranga offers digital resources, children’s areas, meeting rooms with excellent facilities, historical displays, a Council service desk and so much more.
