Tre Bicchieri Worldtour - Special Edition by Gambero Rosso – 15th edition – returns to New Zealand for the 2nd time

Now celebrating 36 years of success, Gambero Rosso’s ‘Tre Bicchieri’ is returning to Auckland for one day only in May 2023. Now on the second year, one of the world’s most anticipated and best-known Italian wine tours is returning to Auckland to celebrate Italian wine, showcasing 13 wineries to New Zealand trade, media and wine lovers alike.

Tasting tables will be presenting over 50 premium Italian wines, including many that have been recognised with the Tre Bicchieri (three glass) award. There’s also an exclusive program of masterclasses, led by a Gambero Rosso wine taster and judge. Explore Italy’s top wine making regions and rediscover the tradition, culture and uniqueness of one of the worlds’ greatest wine making countries.

On May 12th Gambero Rosso team and 13 eminent Italian wineries will host an exceptional event in Auckland at the Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. Located in Westhaven, is one of the most illustrious boating clubs of the world dating back to 1871), and is the Home of the America’s Cup.

This event reinforces the historical ties between this two wine producing countries: not many in fact remember that at the dawn of the New Zealand wine history, in 1895, the Italian viticulturist Romeo Bragato was hired by the Government to explore the country and assess its potential.

This is a unique opportunity to meet the producers while enjoying award-winning Italian wine, without having to get on a plane!

Walk around tasting more than 50 exceptional wines from the classic terroirs and denomination of the Peninsula.

Consumers are invited to book the Wine Lovers sessions only. Please note that if you have booked multiple tickets using one name or email address. your additional guests will be required to register at the door upon entry. To book any Masterclass session, you must also book a Walk Around Tasting session (otherwise your ticket will be cancelled).
