A summer trail running camp held in a dual World Heritage area!
4 days of running amongst active and extinct volcanoes, a diverse range of ecosystems and some spectacular landscapes.
This is 5 weeks out from the Tarawera Ultramarathon, ideal for those competing in the 100km/100mile options. With the choice of trails available, this camp caters for all experiences, ability and fitness levels.
Arrive Thursday early afternoon with the first session being a plogga (picking up rubbish on a short run), Friday and Saturday are full days, Sunday morning session followed by check-out. A full itinerary will be announced closer to the time.
Cost is $300 per person. This includes:
• 3 nights shared accommodation in a stunning house
• 4 runs, 2 mobility sessions, and informal educational sessions
• Sponsor products and discount codes
• A 'Plant-Powered' cotton tote bag
Meals are currently excluded but a decision can be made with confirmed participants as to whether plant-based meal options are included with 'cooking lessons' at an additional cost.
A minimum of 5 persons is required to proceed, with a final decision made by 10 December.
Your camp director is Ben Eitelberg, an XTERRA-certified and Triathlon NZ Level 3 accredited coach, holds a vegan nutritionist diploma, co-hosts The Lentil Intervention podcast, and after 4 ultra-marathons, will be attempting his first 100-miler!
