About this Event

**Update 11 September 2020**

If there’s one thing this year has taught us, it’s how to be adaptable and resilient. So, we’re going virtual.

Here’s the low down:

WHEN: Sunday 11 October

WHAT: Turning The Tide Virtual Fundraising Event. We will unite in spirit, not in person!

WHERE: Wherever you are! Around the block, down the beach, in the bush. You decide where and for how long.

HOW: Register as an individual or a (small) team.

WHY: To keep everyone safe. We keep participants safe by not having a mass gathering and with the money raised we keep those suffering domestic violence safe.

For those of you who have already purchased a ticket, you will get an email shortly with further details.

For everyone else who was thinking of doing the walk/run, we hope you’ll still be motivated to join the event and create your own special walk on the day.

We may not be able to gather in person, we can still join together in the spirit of unity around our common cause to #TurnTheTide on family violence northwest Auckland.

About us:

The Turning The Tide Event is the annual fundraiser for the Kia Tīmata Anō Trust, an independent women's refuge and family harm prevention agency that serves the community from Taupaki to Helensville, including Riverhead, Kumeu/Huapai, Waimauku and Muriwai.

In past years the event has seen walkers take on either the 4km Second Wave Walk or the full 17km walk down Muriwai Beach.
