Event description

Description

This is the third of a series of one-day workshops on strengths-based approaches to the Maori-Pakeha relationship, presented by Dr Rawiri Waretini Karena and Dr Ingrid Huygens.

This year’s workshop will deepens understanding of how colonisation has affected Maori whanau, and underlying contributing factors that affect their health and wellbeing today. It will give practitioners and policy makers new insights into how trauma can be approached without activating a deficit perspective. Structured discussion groups will allow participants to consider and update their practice and policy.
