Event Details

Understanding the Living Building Challenge (LBC) provides a 6-hour in-depth introduction to the Living Building Challenge . Attendees are the green building leaders in their community: design professionals, contractors, developers, owners, government officials and employees of public agencies. In short, anyone and everyone who can impact the development of the built environment.

The workshop will be presented by Jason F. McLennan  who is one of the most sought after speakers in the North American Green Building scene – helping inspire and educate several thousand individuals each year at venues and conferences around the world. Jason is the CEO of Cascadia Green Building Council and the International Living Futures Institute. 


Learning Objectives:
- Identify the key components of the Living Building Challenge
- Discuss the rationale for restorative design principles
- Understand successful strategies for compliance with each performance area
- Recognize financial, regulatory and behavioural barriers and incentives for high performance design
- Describe the Living Building Challenge Community resources and certification process

 

Registration for the workshop begins at 8.15 a.m, in the lobby and the workshop will take place from 9:00 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Please bring your water bottle.
