Description

What is a vinyl cutter?

A vinyl cutter is a computer controlled printer that uses a blade instead of ink to cut material such as vinyl into any 2D shape.

What can you do with it?

The vinyl cutter can be used to cut shapes in adhesive vinyl to create decals and marketing stickers.

How to get started:

Only those who have gained access to the Create and Maker Space can attend training sessions. If you haven't already, get involved today! Once a you have access, complete our vinyl cutter training session, download the user guide and then you're all set to use it during scheduled studio time. We also have Creative Technologists who are there to help you and regular workshops to inspire you to create what you imagine!


Please note that all Create Space sessions and events are only open to current University of Auckland staff and students.
