Virtual Reality in Singapore

Curious about Virtual Reality and what it is all about? Not had an opportunity to experience this yet? Now is your chance! The University of Auckland Alumni team invite you to join us at Virtual Room Singapore to find out for yourself. Virtual Room blends the escape room concept with a full 3D cinematic experience to deliver a unique, immersive and mind-blowing adventure.

Rebecca Assice, BCom alumna and Director Virtual Room Singapore, will provide an interesting insight into why she left the corporate world and now owns and operates two leading entertainment businesses: The Escape Hunt Experience in Australia & NZ and Virtual Room Singapore and Virtual Room Sydney. Over the past 5 years, she has built the Escape Hunt franchise to span seven branches across Australia and NZ, generating ~$5m+ in revenue annually.

As well as hearing from Rebecca, you will have the opportunity to play 10-15 minutes of VR, network with fellow alumni over drinks and canapes and meet Alumni Relations Manager, Joel Terwilliger.

About Virtual Room

Virtual Room is one of the world's best team-based virtual reality experiences which blends the escape room concept with a full 3D cinematic experience to deliver a unique, immersive and mind-blowing adventure.

Played in groups of 2, 3 or 4 players where each player has their own dedicated room - you will join each other in the virtual world where you can talk to each other, walk around, bend, throw objects and collaborate together to solve the puzzles and challenges.

Your mission is to help save the world and you and your team will need to travel back into historical periods of time such as ancient Egypt and the moon landing to solve the puzzles and challenges.

Guaranteed no motion or seasickness unlike other more inferior VR experiences (e.g. ones where you are sitting down or using poor quality VR headsets)

• Cost: Free. You will get to experience 10-15 minutes of game scenes from Mission 1. A welcome drink and pizza will be served. Please bring cash with you if you would like to purchase further drinks.
