The Waikato & Bay of Plenty Branch of Te Kāhui Whaihanga New Zealand Institute of Architects invite you to join us for our annual tour generously sponsored by Jacobsen, Nuralite, Allegion, T&R Interior Systems and Abodo, followed by dinner with guest speakers from ahha architects Jimmi O'Toole and Tony Calder.
The tour, in Mt Maunganui and Tauranga, gives an opportunity to review and appreciate our peers' work across a range of projects. Individual background information and design objectives are presented for each project with the ability for participants to analyse, discuss and critique each project. The tour will include private homes and commercial buildings by Jigsaw Architects, Carnahan Architecture, Wingates, WAM, First Principles Architects, Studio Brick, Brendon Gordon Architects, Architecture Bureau, Mercer and Mercer.
Following the tour, join us for dinner with ahha presenting an open and energising deep dive into how architecture can radically transform communities and environments. From global experiences to a regenerative practice model, they'll unpack their Impact Framework, share tools for participatory design, and explore how values-led design can spark meaningful change across projects, people and place.
