About Anita

Qoya for me has become such and integral part of my life. Where the movement has become the medicine allowing me to access parts of myself that I never knew existed, helping me to remember, remember all of me.Remembering the deep connection to myself, the feminine, sisterhood, to ALL.

Rochelle likes to say “come as you are and leave as more of who you are”. Qoya has allowed me to peel off the layers to opening my heart and knowing my authentic self.

There is an innate wisdom that our body holds of knowing how to move, to feel, to release. Qoya is portal into that wisdom, wildness and freedom and like north on a compass we can trust the feeling we have in our body and use this to navigate through our day to day life.

About Alison

Alison is a Qoya teacher drawn to movement practices because of the inherent healing wisdom she felt through her body. She has been on her own healing journey for many years which became even more important after the birth of her two children, through post-natal depression and now into menopause. During this time she studied a variety of complementary healing modalities that are now part of her healers toolkit.

Qoya is based on the idea ‘through movement we remember’ it offers a safe container where movement is medicine, to dance, to heal, to dive into your depths, to find joy, to sit with the beauty of others, to see and be seen, to hear and be heard and to reclaim your feminine. Qoya is now a magical part of her life as a teacher and student. A working mother in the corporate world taking time out to ‘be moved’ helps her to stay in balance, better equipped to navigate the ever-changing landscape of life.
