Objectives:

• Participants will describe typical speech and language developmental milestones in toddlers with and without cleft palate.
• Participants will be able to identify assessment strategies and procedures that can be used to evaluate speech and language skills in toddlers with cleft palate
• Participants will describe early intervention strategies for children with cleft palate who have speech & language difficulties.

Outcomes:

• Participants will gain knowledge in early speech and language assessment and intervention for toddlers with cleft palate.
• Participants will implement this knowledge into clinical practice.
• Participants will share knowledge with their interdisciplinary colleagues
