Do you want to know more about breast reconstruction and breast cancer? This free event is open to the public and health professionals.

About this event

Join a specialist team of surgeons and nurses from Hutt Hospital to learn about your options for reconstruction. You’ll hear about the different surgeries and the best timing for these, as well as what to expect from your recovery.

Following the presentations, Breast Cancer Foundation NZ invites you for refreshments and to join other participants, our breast nurses and staff from Hutt Hospital to ask any questions you may have.

What kind of surgery is right for me?

When should I have breast reconstruction?

What about my other breast?

This information evening is held on Breast Reconstruction Awareness (BRA) day - an internationally recognised day dedicated to the education and awareness of breast reconstruction after breast cancer surgery.

Suitable for women who may wish to consider reconstruction after surgery for breast cancer, and their whanau. Health professionals with a breast cancer interest are also welcome.
