About this event

Immerse Yourself in a Day of Mystery and Deception

Join us for a thrilling day and evening of Blood on the Clocktower gaming action where in this captivating social deduction game, a hidden demon threatens the once-peaceful village of Ravenswood Bluff. Engage in a battle of wits, where deception runs deep, and only the sharpest minds will unveil the demon among them.

What is Blood on the Clocktower?

In the quiet village of Ravenswood Bluff a demon walks amongst you, killing by night and disguised in human form by day. Will the good townsfolk put the puzzle together in time to execute the true demon, or will evil overrun this once-peaceful village? Blood on the Clocktower is a captivating and addictive social bluffing game for those who delight in deduction and deception.

In Blood on the Clocktower:

- dead players are never eliminated

- every player knows something that can impact the outcome

- players may enter a game after it starts

- the Storyteller may give misinformation to players who are 'drunk' or 'poisoned'

- the dynamic Storyteller role leads each game to a nail-biting outcome.

No two games are ever the same and death is not the end...

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to buy a ticket now, or can I pay on the day?

We require all attendees purchase their tickets in advance. This is to ensure we don't exceed capacity for the venue and can plan the day's sessions for the expected number of attendees.

How do I register for a game?

When purchasing your ticket, you can register for the game sessions you wish to join. You may also sign up for sessions in person on the day of the event, provided there are spaces available. Please note: Evening sessions (sessions 5 & 6) are currently sold out.

I want to change the game sessions I have registered for.

You can change your registered sessions by emailing wellingtonontheclocktower@gmail.com, subject to availability. If your chosen session does not have enough players, you will have the option to join a different session, or play a Teensyville game, designed for fewer players.

I have registered for my sessions, when do I need to arrive?

Please arrive at least 5 minutes before your session is scheduled to begin. If you aren't present at the start time, your seat may be given to another player.

What happens if I arrive and my session doesn't have enough players?

If your session doesn't have enough players, you can choose to join another session or play a Teensyville game, suited for smaller groups. We aim for full attendance but recognise that unforeseen circumstances can occur. If you know you'll be unable to attend, please let us know in advance.

How long is this event?

Each game usually lasts 60-75 minutes. The first round of games will start at 10am, with the final sessions finishing by 8.30pm. Please note: Evening sessions (sessions 5 & 6) are currently sold out. We will promptly notify all ticket holders if additional spaces become available.

Can I attend if I have never played Blood on The Clocktower before?

Absolutely! We will have some of Wellington's best storytellers running introductory games throughout the entire day. We have all been beginners at some point, and both the storytellers and players will ensure you understand how to play the game and have a great time.

I am new to the game and would like to learn more about it before attending.

We recommend watching the in-person games published by The Pandemonium Institute as a great way to see what you can expect from an in-person game: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EsTXhFKtER8&li
