Event description

Description

Wellbeing Wellington invites people who have used mental health and/or addiction services/people with lived experience of mental distress to this hui on 6 June.

The hui's kaupapa is for people with lived experience in the Wellington region to share their ideas and views with the Mental Health and Addictions Inquiry Panel through facilitated discussion groups.

There are places for 100 people to attend and there is no cost to come. You will need to register through this page for yourself (and anyone who is coming with you) and Wellbeing Wellington will have a list of the registered attendees at the door.

All of the Mental Health and Addictions Inquiry Panel members will be present, along with members of their support team. The Inquiry Panel and their team will not be collecting any personal information, they are coming to gather the views and ideas of people with lived experience of mental distress.

Please note that the Panel members do not have any ability to investigate complaints about services. Their role is to provide the Government with recommendations about how the mental health and addictions system can change for the better.

Our Kaitaki Waka/Chairperson for the day is Keri Opai (Te Pou o te Whakaaro Nui).

Lunch and afternoon tea is being catered by Gipps St Deli.

Registration for this hui closes on 1 June 2018 so please reserve your place as soon as you are able to. Wellbeing Wellington will have an attendance list, so you don't need to bring a printed ticket.

E mua kai kai, e muri kai huare/Come early and eat food, come late (or not at all) and you may only eat your own spittle!
