Event description
#WorkSchoolHours - How organisations can tackle big (HR) issues & better support parents

About this event

Ellen is driven by a cause, to fundamentally change the working world.

Following her service in the NZ Army, managing a large team at PTS Logistics, and completing an (exec) MBA, in parallel to her Regional Manager role at NZ Trade & Enterprise, Ellen conducted a PhD, focused on the social well-being and authentic leadership experiences of women in the workforce, with the case study being the New Zealand Army. Her post-doctoral research further examined the experiences of women in the workplace, and then a subsequent (less formal, but much larger) research project, which examined the experiences of working parents (based on conversations with more than 500, and growing, working parents globally).

Ellen is passionate about improving social outcomes (with a focus on women and parents), while simultaneously improving organisational outcomes such as: wellbeing, retention, leadership, productivity, and business performance – all issues we too, as HR practitioners are grappling with right now.

Ellen offers a deep and valid perspective on the top issues we are all, facing right now backed up by practical advice on how to address in our organisations.
