Due to the current lockdown, we've decided to move our event online via Zoom. Join us for a presentation from Rochelle Constantine, and a University update from Dean of Science John Hoskings.
What can the creatures of New Zealand’s only marine national park tell us about the secrets of the sea?
The Hauraki Gulf is a hotspot for seabirds and large marine animals such as whales, dolphins, sharks and rays. By using various approaches, from analysing genetics to collecting AI drone footage, we can understand more about the species in our moana, so we can learn how to protect these magnificent animals.
In this captivating talk, Associate Professor Rochelle Constantine will unlock some of the mysteries of our big blue backyard.
Rochelle is a conservation biologist and behavioural ecologist at the University of Auckland. She seeks to answer conservation questions concerning some of our most endangered species.
