Event description

Description

Join us at our Whangarei Alumni & Friends reception, timed to take place on Tai Tokerau graduation day, when we will be welcoming our newest graduands to the University’s alumni community.

Our guest speaker will be Tracey McIntosh (Tūhoe), Professor of Indigenous Studies and Co-head of Te Wānanga o Waipapa (School of Māori Studies and Pacific Studies) at the University of Auckland and winner of numerous teaching awards. She will talk about the potential for education to effect transformational change at the individual and collective level, drawing on personal experience and the experience of incarcerated men and women.

Her work is helping to address a priority question for the University of Auckland Campaign For All Our Futures: Can we create a more stable, just and ethical society?

You will hear from the Deputy Vice-Chancellor Strategic Development, Professor Jenny Dixon, about the important progress that is being made through the University of Auckland Campaign For All Our Futures and other news from your University.

There will also be ample opportunity to network with other University of Auckland alumni in the area.

Any questions or feedback?
