About this event

As the pool of available frequencies diminishes, frequency selection and coordination are increasingly critical to the successful design and deployment of wireless microphones and in-ear systems.

The Wireless Fundamental course covers the successful setup, deployment and operation of multi-channel wireless systems. It is tailored for real-world applications encountered in today’s productions.

Topics covered include:

  • Radio fundamentals and propagation
  • Antenna placement, multi-path interference & diversity reception
  • Multi-system compatibility, and frequency coordination
  • Squelch, batteries
  • Wireless management tools
  • The course uses Shure Wireless Workbench version 7 (WWB7) for the configuration, control and monitoring of wireless audio devices.

  • Recommended for any audio professionals involved in the design and operation of wireless audio systems.
  • Attendees should have previous experience with wireless audio systems and be familiar with technical terms and concepts.
