Dr. Heidi is a registered Clinical Psychologist, Mindful Eating expert, certified yoga teacher & weight management consultant. Dr. Keri is a Motivational Interviewing expert and behaviour change consultant. These two American clinicians offer a fun, inspiring retreat to bring together women who have a desire to create a more healthy relationship with their body and with the food that they eat.These compassionate clinicians base their work on scientifically proven skills and strategies not fads.
What can you get out of this retreat?

●Learn effective skills and strategies to stop emotional, binge, mindless, and over eating patterns

●Jettison shame and guilt and welcome in kindness, acceptance and self-compassion
How will we accomplish all this? With evidence based practices, mindfulness, interactive exercises, & food experiments. Optional Hatha Yoga each morning; open to all levels. Bring a mat if you are keen.
We hope to learn a lot, have some laughs, get inspired and enjoy the natural beauty of the New Zealand native bush. Fee is $395. Fee includes all meals, accommodation, instruction and training materials.
The retreat will be held at the lovely Te Moata Retreat Centre sitting on 344 hectares of native bush in the Coromandel Peninsula. Te Moata is well known for its delicious meals and breath taking landscape. Te Moata is off the grid and offers simple, basic accommodation. If you do not want to bring your own bedding, you can pay an extra $15 for it to be provided. As Te Moata is off the grid, you must arrive with any electronic equipment fully charged. Dr. Heidi Douglass is an American trained Clinical Psychologist who provides psychological assessment and evidence-based treatment services in Hamilton, New Zealand & via Skype. Dr. Douglass is one of the only psychologists in New Zealand who has been authorized to offer Mindfulness Based Eating Awareness Training (MB-EAT) to the public.
