Update - March 16th

The WIDSAuckland event, planned for March 21 in Auckland, is now postponed. We want the event to go ahead in the future and will plan a new date – with either an in-person or online format. We wanted to keep it as an in-person event if possible, because we value the sense of community that creates, and the opportunities for informal networking.

Stay tuned for updates by email, twitter (@WIDSAuckland), and LinkedIn (e.g. via WiDS Ambassadors Kate Kolich and Rosalind Archer). We look forward to bring you an outstanding event at a future date.

We wish you all the best in your efforts to address the challenges of COVID19 – at work and at home.

The postponement is endorsed and supported by the WiDS global team. Note while the event was being hosted at a University of Auckland venue – the event is independent of the University. Regular lectures at the University of Auckland are continuing as normal at this stage.

-------------------------------------------

Women in Data Science (WiDS) started as a conference at Stanford in November 2015. Now, WiDS includes a global conference, with approximately 150+ regional events worldwide; a datathon, encouraging participants to hone their skills using a social impact challenge; and a podcast, featuring leaders in the field talking about their work, their journeys, and lessons learned.

WiDS Auckland is an independent event organised by The University of Auckland, Faculty of Engineering to coincide with the annual Global Women in Data Science (WiDS) Conference held at Stanford University and an estimated 150+ locations worldwide. All genders are invited to attend WiDS regional events, which features outstanding women doing outstanding work.
