Our lives are so busy today it is easy to get distracted. Has the routine of life begun to distract you from Jesus? Has tragedy left you wanting to believe something else? What is it that will keep us standing firm as Christians today? The book of Colossians tells us exactly – stand firm in Jesus. Come and be encouraged away from distraction and onto Jesus as Kara Gilbert takes us through this wonderful book
Kara is involved in ministry among women in Anglican Churches in Sydney. Her role includes teaching the Bible at women’s conferences and meeting with women to encourage them in their work in local churches.
Kara doesn’t have hobbies but loves spending time with friends with family. She tries to exercise and has a growing appreciation for gardening. Kara is married to Brett and their honeymoon was in the South Island of New Zealand.

The Men's and Women's Christian Conventions are run annually in Christchurch by the Gospel Training Trust. The trust's aim is to support local churches across the South Island of Aotearoa by encouraging and equipping men to live wholeheartedly for Jesus in every sphere of life. We set about doing this by providing world class Bible teaching, great music, and the fellowship of meeting together as brothers in Christ.
