Sustainability is one of the hottest topics these days, with investors and the general public alike. Sustainability isn’t just about climate change, it also means thinking about social factors, as well as governance. These factors impact and resonate with everyone differently which is why we cannot simply look at purchasing or investing decisions as ‘good’ or ‘bad’. Impact investing takes this one step further where investors look to encourage companies to make positive change.
We invite you to join us for our next Health & Wealth Seminar “Doing Well While Doing Good”. Our guest speaker Alanna Chapman, co-founder of 27seconds will be joining Tara McHardy and Sarah French to answer the question: Do you need to give something up to help make positive change?
Alanna Chapman is the co-founder of 27seconds. A local wine brand that gives 100% of their profits away to help survivors of slavery. Never thinking she would ever enter the world of wine, Alanna found herself in love with Pete (Chapman) who runs his family vineyard Terrace Edge in North Canterbury.
Whilst travelling, Alanna and Pete saw modern day slavery in person. It was this experience that led them to ask the question, 'what if we could use wine as a vehicle to create change?' Thus empowering people to make a difference through their wine choice.
Since their launch in late 2017, they have donated $147,000 to survivors of slavery and have a growing presence in the South and North Islands.
27seconds wine, drinks & canapés provided.
Please note there is no cost to attend this event and please feel free to bring a friend or family member.
