Event description
In this seminar, Pania Mitchell and Vicki Culling will discuss elements of working with Māori whānau when a pēpē dies.

About this Event

Using the narratives of bereaved Māori māmā and her own experiences of perinatal loss, Pania Mitchell (Ngaruhine ki Taranaki, Ngati Rakaipaka ki Nuhaka, Te Aitanga o Hauiti ki Tolaga Bay) will co-lead this VCA seminar on working with Māori whānau.

We will discuss equity, tikanga, offer stories of loss from which we can learn, refer to recent research, present strategies and resources that may be helpful to professionals, and we'll do this in a safe and welcoming environment, to encourage rich and helpful discussions.
