Event description
In this seminar, Pania Mitchell and Vicki Culling will discuss elements of working with Māori whānau when a pēpē dies.

About this Event

Using the narratives of bereaved Māori māmā and her own experiences of perinatal loss, Pania Mitchell (Ngaruhine ki Taranaki, Ngati Rakaipaka ki Nuhaka, Te Aitanga o Hauiti ki Tolaga Bay) will co-lead this VCA seminar on working with Māori whānau.

We will discuss tikanga around the death of a baby, talk about post-mortem, present resources that may be helpful to professionals and create an environment for rich and helpful discussions.
