Event Details

Google Sites is a highly effective tool within the Google Apps suite which educators can use to coordinate blended learning opportunities. This allows students anytime, anywhere access to learning activities, resources and materials for a more customised learning experience. It also facilitates the development of ‘communities of practice’ where students can share what they are producing and consuming with other learners, accelerating the pace of learning development and creating banks of exemplars which future learners can utilise.

This workshop will explore how Google Sites can be used to create communities of learners following best-practice pedagogical principles. Participants will learn how to use this tool to create customisable learning experiences for students while better utilising their own time in the classroom. They will create and customise their own sites.

This is a workshop. Attendees need to bring their own laptop – tablets/smartphones are not suitable by themselves.

Participants will require their own Google Apps account. School Google Apps accounts are preferred.

Cost: FREE. Numbers are limited, so please only register for this event if you are certain to attend.
