Description

World Engineering Day for Sustainable Development will be celebrated on 4 March every year as a UNESCO international day. It's a celebration of engineers and engineering and the important contributions of the profession to sustainable development and modern life.

IChemE and Engineering New Zealand have co-organised an event in Wellington where speakers will talk about decarbonising certain sectors of the economy and the role engineering has to play in sustainable development.

Paul Winton of 1Point5 Project will provide a keynote speech followed by a series of additional speakers, which include Callaghan Innovation, Energy Efficiency and Conservation Authority (EECA), CentrePort, BECA, Z Energy and Transpower.

The event is jointly funded IChemE and Engineering New Zealand Wellington Branch.

This event is now free.
