XTERRA Rotorua Festival Training Camp

About this Event
A course-specific camp aimed at upskilling and building confidence for those competing in the triathlon, trail running and mountain biking events. This camp is designed for both newcomers to the sport and those aiming to increase their skills and improve their finish times.
The new 1-day split format camp will be a combination of coaching and training sessions, with the following options:
Morning - Option 1 (for triathletes and mountain bikers)
• Bike Setup and Basic Skills
• MTB - full course reccie and riding on the course
Morning - Option 2 (for trail runners only)
• Run Drills and Technique
• Run - full short-course reccie (option to extend onto long course) and run
Lunch (everyone)
• Pre-ordered meal (registration add-on) or bring your own
• Q&A
Afternoon (for triathletes only)
• Transition Location Familiarisation
• Swim - course tips and race starts
• Run - full short-course reccie and run
The pre-ordered meal is from Tea & Happiness - 100% Plantbased / Vegan Kitchen.
Camp director is Benjamin Eitelberg, an XTERRA-certified and Triathlon NZ Level 3 accredited coach, and will lead the swim, MTB-skills, and run sessions.
The on-course mountain bike session will be led by a Pro XTERRA athlete, details to be announced soon.

All sessions are held at Blue Lake, Rotorua.
Please ensure your Mountain Bike is serviced prior to this weekend. You will also need your helmet, bike shoes, run shoes, wetsuit and all training gear necessary for the day.
It is absolutely imperative you bring plenty hydration, nutrition and sunscreen, and a minimum level of fitness - the skills we'll help to improve!
