Zero Invasive Predators (ZIP)
Come and join Zero Invasive Predators (ZIP) at Lincoln University's Johnson Memorial Lab to tour their research area. Learn about a truly inspirational organisation creating positive change and the projects that ZIP is currently working on. Discover new technologies and tools to help make large areas of New Zealand Predator Free. Then students will apply their knowledge and design a predator free plan around different land use, including dense bush, alpine, rolling farmland and high-country sheep stations. This is a mixture of tour, activities and presentations.

On-campus activities: AI, animal behaviour and careers in conservation
Hosted in the new Lincoln University Science building, students will rotate around 3 quick fire modules. Each module is 20 minutes of engaging activities to get the brain thinking. Module 1: Looking at AI and how it is helping create Predator Free areas, but is AI better at identifying pests than humans? Module 2: How pest behaviour is relatable and what happens to pest behaviour over time. Module 3: A decision making game that puts students into the decision making seat and exposes to them to the community of careers that relate to conservation.
