About this Event
Providing an overview of the laws relating to young people in Aotearoa; covering such topics as – legal ages (some may surprise!), cyber bullying laws, and rights at school. Gain knowledge, empower rangatahi with good reliable legal information; and get free kai!With Sarah Guy and Manawa Pomare from YouthLaw Aotearoa
The workshop is designed for all staff, whether paid or unpaid working with young people in Palmerston North.
Other important stuff:
• Limited to two registrations per organisation/service/group
• VERY limited number of registration spaces available due to current Covid restrictions
• Must work in Palmerston North with young people (if you don’t work in Palmy with young people and would love to attend then please contact us)
• You must be over 18 years of age
• Please let us know of any dietary or access requirements before. FREEEEE treats tooooo. Yum yum yummy
• Due to Covid-19, there are special considerations and things that we will need to do - including contract tracing. Please ensure that the person who is attending - has their name registered and on the ticket AND please do not come to the training with cold, flu or respiratory symptoms or having had contact with a confirmed or suspected Covid-19 case, or contact with border or managed isolation facilities. Please scan in at the event and bring your ticket.
