Jessica Wayland
My name is Jessica Wayland, and I am a behaviour specialist, educator, and creative facilitator based on Gadigal land in Sydney.
Over the past 14 years, I’ve worked across education, behaviour, wellbeing, and leadership—including coaching educational leaders. I’ve worked with hundreds of children, teens, educators, and families to navigate complex behaviour, build emotional regulation, and develop tools for resilience and self-esteem,
I have worked in some of Australia’s most disadvantaged communities, as well as in some of Sydney’s most elite suburbs and see social & emotional challenges in all settings. My passion is to empower young people to be confident in themselves, have empathy and understanding for others, and stay connected to who they truly are. This why Empower Create Thrive was developed.
Empower Create Thrive was born from seeing my own story reflected in others, the part of me that was still wounded from growing up without strong guidance, often feeling confused and alone in the world and feeling like I had myself to blame. This is the program I wish I had when I was younger.
My projected outcome is that every girl is able to shine as bright as her true self and know that she is more than enough. Where girls learn that it's brave to be real, that being kind to others doesn't mean putting themselves last, and that true peace and love come from within.
