Jumping Jack Cards

Hi, I’m Alan – the trainer behind Jumping Jack Cards.

When Pokémon first hit the playgrounds, I was just a little too old for the trading card craze. I missed out on those early days of binder swaps and pack openings… but I didn’t miss Pokémon entirely. My first real adventure was through the Game Boy. Pokémon Red was the game that started it all for me, and then Pokémon Yellow sealed the deal. From then on, I was hooked - not just on the game itself, but on the whole world of Pokémon.

Years later, I rekindled that love for Pokemon through a shared interest with my then 5 year old son, Jack. My love for the games evolved into a passion for the cards. Even though I didn’t grow up trading them, the thrill of ripping packs, chasing our favourite Pokémon, and building a collection as a father and son team really excited me.

In early 2024, I decided to take that passion further. I set myself a challenge - start with a small budget, buy and sell cards, and see if I could turn it into a real Pokémon business.

My son is constantly on the move - so thats where the name came from for Jumping Jack Cards - it's named after him.

But no matter how much we grow, the heart of Jumping Jack Cards stays the same: sharing the fun of Pokémon with collectors. Whether it’s Japanese booster boxes, mystery packs, or just connecting with the community, it’s all about recreating that same sense of excitement and discovery that Pokémon gave me as a kid.
