SalsaTech at Virginia Tech
SalsaTech at Virginia Tech is a student organization that strives to create a safe educational and social environment for individuals to learn about dance, music, and culture. We teach weekly lessons in several types of Latin dance, as well as different styles of these individual dances--this includes salsa, bachata, merengue, rueda, cumbia, and more. We also host weekly socials so that people can both learn and practice in a fun, social environment. We hope to facilitate an open environment where people can grow as individuals, create social connections, and rediscover the joy of learning something new. We have an enduring focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion, and aim to provide free or low-cost opportunities to dance and learn in order to support this goal.
