A local with passion!

I am passionate about Ballymena - the town where I was born and where I have chosen to live!

I am delighted to offer a range of walking tours and events showcasing our local history and heritage.

I studied Irish History and Politics at Ulster University in Derry. Since then I have developed a keen interest in local history and how historical changes impact on the lives of ordinary people in an urban and a rural setting.

I have spent most of my working life in the trade union movement in the public sector and more recently in education.

Outside of work I have years of experience working in the local community, with a range of community and faith based organisations, developing strong connections with the people, local groups, and the rich built heritage of the area.

I have a keen interest in helping people get outdoors and to understand and appreciate their local environment.
