GREATEST FRIEND - Style For The Ages

Greatest Friend is a newly launched web shop offering found natural fibre clothing and textiles as well as styling services.  This global resale business was originated in New York City in 2009, and is now based out of Little Oneroa on Waiheke Island.

Greatest Friend will be “popping up” at Island Coffee on Friday April 20, from 6pm - 7:30pm

and on Saturday April 21, from 9am - 12noon.

Angela is a New Zealander who has returned home after 15 years living and working across the U.S in both the music and fashion industries -with a passion for sustainable living practises and a clear understanding of the weight of textile production on our natural resources.

Angela is also hosting Fashion Revolution’s Great Waiheke Clothing Swap at the Waiheke Resources Trust on Saturday April 28, where local fashion enthusiasts whom regularly shop for new clothing or at least follow new designers - are encouraged to bring barely worn garments to swap with others and to talk about sustainable progressions within our fashion industry - It’s a really fun way to learn & share while you shop without spending.

“There is no need to feel guilty buying clothes, It’s so naturally enjoyable! - It’s the producers of fast fashion who are to feel guilty, not the consumer…. although we could all make steps to learn a bit more about who actually makes our clothing and what donating them actually means”.

In the meantime, the new web shop has opened at with the Equator Collection:  A thoughtful series of garments paying homage to a global shift.  One that she feels both personally with her move home, but most importantly within the global fashion industry.

Greatest Friend has found pieces that date back to the turn of the century, as well as new pieces by transparent designers such as ANAAK Collection & Wol Hide, all in gorgeous natural fibres.

You can expect a new collection every other month and to follow along, just subscribe via the contact page on the web site.
