Auckland Botanic Gardens

The Auckland Botanic Gardens is located on Hill Road, Manurewa, covering 64 hectares (156 acres) of land, including 10 hectares of native forest. Opening to the public in 1982, the Auckland Botanic Gardens is a young garden by world standards.

The Gardens attract more than 950,000 visitors each year.

Opening hoursWinter hours (April to September) The Gardens are open daily from 8am to 6pm. Visitor Centre Huakaiwaka is open from 8am to 4.30pm. Cafe Miko is open daily from 8am to 4pm.

Summer hours (October to March) The Gardens are open daily from 8am to 8pm. Visitor Centre Huakaiwaka is open weekdays from 8am to 4.30pm. Cafe Miko is open daily from 8am to 4pm.

* The Visitor Centre and Cafe Miko are both closed on Christmas Day, the gardens remain open to visitors.
