Bossman Construction

Bossman Construction Management, founded by Amenyonah Bossman, is a woman- and Black-owned construction firm dedicated to building equity through community-rooted development. With over 25 years of experience in the construction industry, Amenyonah leads with a mission to close the racial and gender wealth gap by empowering women and low-income homeowners to become developers of their own properties.

Amenyonah holds a Master’s in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where she developed a National model using a cooperative economics framework to build wealth using Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). Her work centers on transforming underutilized spaces—like basements, garages and backyards—into income-generating rental units that preserve homeownership, support multigenerational families, and resist displacement in gentrifying neighborhoods.

Bossman Construction hosts events and webinars to educate and empower homeowners, share tools for real estate development, and advance economic justice across Boston and beyond.
