We aim to support the LGBTQ community in the Peace region, and are always looking for more ways to get involved in the community!

Dawson Creek Pride is a bit unusual in that we usually celebrate Pride at Halloween! Just before Halloween we hold our annual Pride Dance, with a live DJ, drinks, and often a live performance. In previous years we have coupled our event with a live production of Hedwig and the Angry Inch, drag kings/queens from around the North, a live performance of The Rocky Horror Picture Show, and other fun events.

In the past, we have also held teen pride paint nights, queer game nights, a community photoshoot on the rainbow crosswalk, repainted the rainbow crosswalk after vandalism, fund-raised and awarded an "Out and Proud" award for a local high school student, and hosted online events such as webinars and online drag shows and watch parties during Covid. In addition, we and wonderful local businesses in Dawson Creek established the first Dawson Creek Pride Walk in June 2022.

If you want our involvement on an event, please keep in mind that we are a small group of volunteers who have been doing this for 10+ years. This is a volunteer-run organization and only takes on projects that we have time and energy to complete. We appreciate your interest and patience.
