It is also a Sanctuary from an often cold, uncaring world where the outliers of society can find peace, a warm smile, friendship and shared passions.

In 2018, DNA Rotorua had over 2,500 people visit, tour, learn, share and stay to join the digital whanau.

DNA’s mission is to create digital pathways for the next generation of leaders by inspiring them to become makers, architects and innovators of technology, rather than simply users and consumers of it.

DNA is about giving whanau the confidence to think creatively, work collaboratively and reason systematically. We do this through a range of online and offline activities related to the digital tech sector.

DNA started as a place to teach tamariki the basics of coding & programming 5 years ago and has since evolved to offer inspiration to the next generation of digital leaders.

We do this by providing programmes centered around eSports, Content Creation, Coding & Game Development.

We have come to understand that what we do is so MUCH more then just provide skill acquisition and educational pathways. DNA provides a sense of belonging, a place to create and share life’s joy and pain, a space where dreams can be created and imaginations sparked.
