Forest Bathing & Waystowellbeing2: certified guide
Maya is an experienced Forest Bathing Institute qualified Guide and Health Psychologist. Her Forest Bathing sessions have been attended by approximately 300 people in London and the South-East.
Forest bathing+ involves immersing yourself in the sights, sounds and smells of the forest for the benefits of health and well-being. We walk slowly and use mindfulness practices that calm the body and mind and end with a guided relaxation under the tree canopy. Scientific research shows that forest bathing can: boost our mood and immune system function, reduce stress and anxiety; normalise blood pressure and heart rate, improve sleep; and stimulate creativity.
Join Maya in beautiful Beckenham Place Park and experience the benefits for yourself. Here is what some participants have said about how they felt after attending a session.
"I gained a sense of inner peace ... It was a wonderful opportunity to disconnect from the hustle and bustle of daily life and truly appreciate the beauty of the natural world. I also learned some valuable techniques for mindfulness and stress reduction". Fernanda Kyle
"I felt like a knot has been released inside me." Marta Kaliszewska
"I felt very relaxed and calm with a real feeling of well-being." Marie White
"More content and centered than I’ve felt in a very long time.” Oli Steadman.
